Once upon a time, Daniel wielded a wand.
The actor has long since left his Harry Potter days behind him, and he’s taken on plenty of gritty roles over the years.
He also tried out a South African accent in Escape from Pretoria, which didn’t end well.
In Guns Akimbo, an action-comedy due to hit cinemas in March, he plays an internet troll that suddenly gets thrust into the midst of a deadly battle.
You may recall those pictures that first emerged in May of last year, which were then turned into a meme.
Vulture with the details:
The first trailer for Akimbo features Radcliffe as a corporate drone turned deadly gameshow competitor after a bunch of hoodlums break into his apartment and bolt a pair of guns to his hands. The reason is because the hoodlums work for a game called Skizm, in which people are livestreamed killing each other, and after he trolled their admin account they decided he needed to be taught a lesson, so they’ve sent their most feared killer after him.
This is the part where you put up your praise hands, because the elite Skizm hunter is Nix, played by Samara Weaving.
Never heard of her, but cool.

It’s all a bit Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, right? Good, because apparently that’s what director Jason Lei Howden was going for.
