Of Course ‘Boet Fighter’ Analysed The Kyalami Sword Fight [Videos]

The 'Boet Fighter' brawlers have offered their take on the infamous fight. So too has Wynand Janssens, the man with the prosthetic leg from the 'Hugo, bel die polisie' video.

When two families went to war in Midrand’s Kyalami Estate, they probably didn’t expect to end up being viral sensations.

Then again, a combination of swords, Jack Russells, a dachshund, blokes with their shirts off and some classic commentary is always going to be a winning formula.

You can watch the full-length original video here, and we also suggest you treat yourself to a David Attenborough voiceover of the fight while you’re at it.

Given that this rumble, nicknamed ‘Boep Fighters’ by some, took place in Jozi, we knew it only a matter of time until the charrrrrnas from Boet Fighter, the video game that made waves last year, weighed in.

Before we see the blow-by-blow video breakdown, here’s the write-up from Boet Fighter’s Facebook post:

Raaght. We know we’re late to the jol on this one, boet, but we’ve been tagged more taams than the Undertaker, so we are herebaah presenting our official analysis of the Great Kyalami Estate Whaat-People Rawl of 2020. Also, please stop tagging us now. Thanks, charnas.

No, thank you, charna:

Solid punt for the game at the end, and some good insight offered.

Many have drawn a comparison with the ‘Hugo, bel die polisie‘ video from last year. Jacaranda FM caught up with Wynand Janssens, the man with the prosthetic leg in that video, for his take on the Kyalami fight.

He says the weapons were unnecessary, and that brawling with shirts off is a tactic employed to ensure that your rival has less to hang onto during a grappling session:

Perhaps Wynand and the main shirtless brawler from Kyalami can do battle in a charity boxing match? Just a thought.
