The update can be found at the bottom of the story…
Last year, South Africa witnessed a brawl for the ages.
Just say the words ‘Hugo, bel die polisie‘ and most folks will understand.
Less than two weeks into 2020, and we have another video ripe for remixing (take this David Attenborough spoof, for example).
This one has been labelled ‘White trash at it in Kyalami Estates’, and there are definitely certain elements in common with the ‘Hugo’ video.
Kyalami Estate is a gated suburb in Johannesburg, to set the scene.

We shouldn’t be surprised that there are BMWs in this video. This kind of behaviour seems to be in the BMW driver’s nature.
There really is a lot to unpack here. I can see a few Jack Russell terriers running around, but the woman carrying the dachshund is my favourite pet moment.
Right at the end, somebody says ‘get my gun’, so let’s just hope things ended without further damage being done.
At this stage, not much is known about this brawl, but a slightly longer version of the same clip appears on YouTube:
We will update the story if, and when, we find out more information.
Does anybody know if The Jerry Springer Show is looking for new guests?
UPDATE: This from TimesLIVE:
The families involved in a violent street brawl in an estate in Kyalami, Midrand, have decided to “shake hands” and resolve the matter outside court…
Security Company Special Ops 99, whose BMW was also spotted on the scene, told TimesLIVE on Monday morning that one of their salesmen was on his way to the shop when he noticed the fight…
Police spokesperson Captain Mavela Masondo confirmed that a charge had been withdrawn.
Perhaps they could settle this dispute in a Royal Rumble-style battle? I’d watch that.
Thanks, Dean
