Proof That The Constantia ‘Love Island’ House Featured In That Miley Cyrus ‘Black Mirror’ Episode [Video]

I'm already tired of hearing about 'Love Island' being filmed in Cape Town, and the first episode hasn't even aired yet. Anyway, here we are.

I don’t care, I’m tired of hearing about Love Island being filmed in Cape Town, and the first episode hasn’t even aired yet.

Now that I’ve stated where I stand on the matter, let’s carry on.

As previously reported, Love Island is filming in Upper Constantia’s The Midden Cottage, located on Belair Drive.

Producers are worried about the safety of those appearing on the show, and were said to be “in a panic” after finding out that the head of private security company, Extreme Security Measures owner Tim Lotter, was shot dead on Sunday in an apparent underworld ‘hit’.

Reps for the show say that Lotter was not in any way connected to the security measures being taken to ensure the safety of their contestants, but British tabloids have already run wild with talk of ‘gang warfare’ and the like.

Which is certainly true for some parts of the Cape, but not Upper Constantia.

I don’t know why anybody requires proof that the Love Island house featured in the Black Mirror episode featuring Miley Cyrus, but that’s what Seth promised you, so here we are.

But first, your cast:

Cool.

To the Daily Mail we go:

The mansion, which starred in Miley Cyrus’ Ashley O episode of Black Mirror, boasts the show’s first double shower. Also in the luxury bathroom is a giant Jacuzzi and a door which leads to the terrace.

With a brand new villa to makeover, producers have decided to keep many of the key features that viewers know and love.

Are we just going to take their word for it? No, more proof!

Did you catch this shot at the end?

Here’s a similar shot from promotional material for Midden Cottage:

PROOF!

Box ticked.

Let’s move along.

For those who want to see more images from inside the Love Island villa, including the terribly kitsch remodelling and something called the Dog House, head here.
