We ended the royal chronicles in 2019 with a rather angry rant by Piers Morgan.

Still upset about that time Meghan ghosted him, Piers felt the need to point out that not spending Christmas with the Queen was just another way that the royal couple were disrespecting tradition, and Britishness, and blah, blah, blah.

He’s a sad man.

Anyway, Meghan and Harry flew to Canada for the holidays where they spent time with Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland.

If you care, they’re now back in the UK, where they made their first public appearance for 2020 at Canada House in London.

When it comes to tabloid fodder, Meghan and Harry haven’t been very interesting lately. Even if they do something out of the ordinary, it all pales in comparison to Prince Andrew.

As a result, the simplest things are being blown out of proportion. Let’s take a look at their trip to say thank you to Janice Charlette, High Commissioner for Canada to the UK, for the hospitality they received while in Canada:

Markle patted Harry on the back as they greeted Charlette and well-wishers who had gathered to see their first appearance of the year.

Harry also returned the gesture — and in one video captured by a fan on Twitter, he appeared to lightly guide her forward so that she would be the one to greet Charlette first.

Harper’s Bazaar confirms that Meghan was wearing clothes during the visit. Harry also wore clothes.

Meghan was absolutely glowing while wearing a chic, monochromatic outfit complete with a deep cocoa turtleneck sweater, a matching brown, sleek midi slip skirt paired with a Reiss camel wool coat, and satin, pointed-toe Jimmy Choo pumps.

Prince Harry donned his signature navy blue suit, crisp white button up, and a light blue tie with black oxford shoes.

Cosmopolitan wants you to know that they’re both happy and it’s great.

They’re smiling! She’s glowing! This is great!
