Well, here we are, back at work in 2020.
I can’t say the Golden Globes fills me with any kind of excitement, but if you are after a full list of the winners, head here.
For those who really just want to see who Ricky Gervais, hosting for the fifth and (allegedly) final time, made squirm in their seats, let’s get the ball rolling.
Before we go to the video, let’s get some basics via Vanity Fair:
It was clear from beginning that Gervais wanted to continue his legacy for saying whatever he wants. “Kevin Hart was fired from the Oscars because of some offensive tweets. Luckily, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association can hardly speak English and they have no idea what Twitter is,” Gervais said.
“Remember,” he added quickly, “they’re just jokes; we’re all gonna die soon, and there’s no sequel.”
Let’s see the full monologue, then:

That Leo one really landed – just consult this graph to see why.
Some outlets have called his hosting a flop, whilst some others have used the word “boring”.
I’m pretty sure Ricky doesn’t really care, so we’ll just leave it there and move along with our day.
