Happy New Year!

Whatever you did to bring it in, I hope it was an excellent night.

Personally, I try to avoid the really big parties. New Year’s Eve, if it isn’t spent at a festival or somewhere equally contained, has a way of bringing out the worst in people.

That’s why this year I decided to celebrate with a few close friends, some good food, and a very nice bottle of L’Ormarins Blanc de Blancs vintage.

While I sipped bubbly from the safety of my living room, however, a lot of other people around the world took to the streets to celebrate – and it wasn’t always pretty.

The theme this year was evidently minimal clothing, maximum tequila and zero skaam. 

I’m pretty sure ‘never drinking again’ made the resolutions lists of almost everyone in the above pics.
