You’ve probably seen the trailer for No Time to Die, but here’s something you might have missed.
Around 29 seconds in, James Bond stares pensively into the distance, perhaps contemplating whether it is time he hangs up his agent boots and retires to somewhere nice and quiet.
Maybe a spot in the country. Maybe somewhere really off the map. Who knows – he’s just so pensive.
As for that local business – versatile and exotic in any setting, we’re not surprised the iconic traditional Malawi Cane Chair was spotted in the latest trailer.
This screenshot from 29 seconds in, in case you’re too lazy to skip through:
Handmade by artisans in Malawi, the chairs are then trucked to the Malawi Cane warehouse in Paarden Eiland, Cape Town, for quality control, fumigation, treatments, and accessorising.
Malawi Cane sells a wide range of handmade cane furniture and whilst a large portion of their business is international wholesale, they do also deliver across South Africa for decorators and consumers direct.
Malawi Cane is the only natural cane company offering exclusive brass and copper feet, as well as proof of fumigation and a one-year warranty.
“There’s no doubt the exposure in the latest James Bond has been great for business”, said Cole Trickle, the Malawi Cane warehouse General Manager.
“We’re the only company that offers a one-year structural warranty on all our pieces, so we’re usually busy this time of year, but the day that trailer dropped we did notice an immediate spike on orders.”
That, I can believe! Visit Malawi Cane here for affordable, handmade cane furniture.
