Black Coffee, whose real name is Nkosinathi Maphumulo, and his wife Enhle Mbali, are getting divorced.
The couple has been married for eight years, following a very lavish wedding at Sun City in 2011. Julius Malema was there for some reason.
They have two kids.
Right, that’s the basic information, so let’s move on to the scandal.
Enhle filed for divorce in October 2019, confirming this in a video which she posted to her Instagram account in November.
It has since been uploaded to YouTube:
Divorce is tough enough without the media getting involved. It’s especially tough when it happens via email.

In an extensive interview this week, Black Coffee said he had tried everything but failed to save his marriage.
But according to several sources, the last straw for his wife was revelations that the international DJ had fathered two children – who are aged 12 months and 14 months – aside from the emotional abuse she alleges he subjected her to.
Sources are claiming that Enhle was told about the children informally by one of Black Coffee’s family members who added that “such things happen in marriage”.
Black Coffee could neither deny nor confirm the infidelity allegations levelled against him or the birth of the two children. His lawyer has advised him to stay quiet.
But he said he wanted to set the record straight about the misconception that Mlotshwa filed for divorce first.
He said he was the one who suggested that they should separate, after realising things were not working.
“In April this year, I sent a lengthy email to her in which I suggested that we should separate and she should find a place to stay with the kids and I would pay for it. I did that because I wanted us to improve our marriage and to be more involved with them. But she declined the offer,” he said.
His pain apparently “drives him to perform better on the decks”. Cool. He didn’t mention anything about this when he stopped by Trevor Noah’s show in October.
The couple is going through the usual divorce negotiations, and have lawyers and a mediator involved.
In June this year, the renowned DJ was accused of having an affair with French socialite Cathy Lobé (below), the ex-wife of international DJ superstar David Guetta.
Lobé shared a video on Instagram of her and Black Coffee hugging at the Cannes Film Festival in France.
There were also rumours that in fact Lobé was the reason for their divorce. He denied this.
“It’s not true. Someone decided to make it up. I work with her a lot because she manages VIP clients at the club where I DJ when I am in the US.
Black Coffee says he blames himself for a lot of things, and is engaging in some introspection.
Let’s hope he keeps his cool, unlike that time he slapped AKA’s manager through the face. Then again, given how many times we’ve been forced to watch those awful Cruz Vodka ads with AKA, I am OK with some slaps being dished out.
Now, let’s leave them alone to sort through their issues.
