I can’t remember the last time I had R36 000 in my bank account, let alone that plus walking around money.
If you’re in a different financial position and you’d like a sea view this summer, you might be tempted to rent this one-bedroom apartment near Clifton 1st Beach.
The listing on Pam Golding Properties claims that it’s “sought after”, but is it even a property listing if it doesn’t use those words?
Let’s see what all the fuss is about.
The flat is located in a 24-hour manned complex security with automatic gates, intercom, and security gates to make sure that no one undesirable can get into the building.
The theme of the apartment is white:
The walls, furniture, floors, decor and ceiling fans are all white. Or, as the listing puts it:
The bedroom is en suite and enjoys sea views. The open plan living area has been furnished with American Shutters and plush furniture in a neutral tone. The mirrors throughout fully showcase the gorgeous sea views. The apartment has a serene setting and is a perfect position to enjoy afternoon sunsets.
No pets are allowed, which is probably a good thing when you consider how out of place a stain would look. You should also avoid red wine and children.
Shoes aren’t a good idea, either, and maybe don’t sit on anything.
The bedroom has a sea view, if you lean out the window a bit:
They mention the ceiling fans a lot, so you know they’re important.
There’s a bathroom so that you can stay clean enough to enjoy the rest of the apartment:
The property has wireless internet and a large screen TV with a satellite connection, but you’ll have to pay extra if you want that. It’s not included in the R36 000 you’re already paying per month.
Worth it? That depends on whether you’d consider this a R36 000 view:
At least there’s the option to nip down to the beach without having to find parking, which is what keeps so many Capetonians from the beaches during summer.
