Back in June, Elon Musk sent out a teaser image of his new Cybertruck, which he claimed would look like something “out of science fiction”.
Then, last week Thursday he unveiled the thing and he wasn’t wrong about the science fiction part. Except, instead of the intended Bladerunner aesthetic, the Cybertruck looks like a badly drawn DeLorean DMC-12.
That’s the car from Back to the Future, by the way.
During a demonstration of the Cybertruck’s sturdiness, which mostly involved Tesla’s head of design, Franz von Holzhausen, hitting it with things, they decided to prove the durability of the supposedly ‘bulletproof’ windows’.
Let’s just say the metal balls that Franz lobbed at the windows won. It was all rather embarrassing.
In response, people have been having fun on social media. Take it away, Twitter:

Perhaps the best post comes from LEGO. The toymaker decided to take a stab at Elon on their Australian Facebook page, according to Mashable.
Here’s their post:
You can’t smash windows if there are no windows to smash.
Well played, LEGO.
Your move, Tesla.
