We’re here, and we’re talking about it, so I guess we can.
Al Pacino might be all of 79 years old, but he’s still going strong, and is set to star in a new series titled Hunters.
Directed by Jordan Peele, of Us and Get Out fame (not to mention Key & Peele), Pacino’s character is a “grizzled’ Nazi hunter who spends his time uncovering “fugitive party members in Seventies New York, where they’re trying to launch a Fourth Reich”.
Going on what we glean from the first trailer, it appears that Pacino is the ringleader, who pull the strings from behind the scenes whilst his footsoldiers track down the baddies.
This from Esquire:
…it sees Pacino speechifying about the battle between good and evil to his rag-tag team of Nazi hunters, part of a cast that includes Logan Lerman, Jerrika Hinton, Josh Radnor, Kate Mulvany, Tiffany Boone, Greg Austin, Louis Ozawa Changchien, Carol Kane, Saul Rubinek, Dylan Baker and Lena Olin…
Hunters, which was created and co-produced by David Weil, who wrote upcoming sci-fi thriller Moonfall, will arrive on Amazon Prime Video next year, although it doesn’t yet have a specific air date.
Talk to us, Al:
Looks like it should be worth a watch.
While you’re here, it’s worth mentioning the excellent Netflix doccie series The Devil Next Door, which also deals with the issue of war criminals living in the US.
Or, is it a case of mistaken identity?
Don’t Google his name – just watch the series.
