If something weird is going to happen it will most likely happen in Florida.
The man who claimed he was seduced by a dolphin? Florida. The guy who vaped his buddy’s semen? Also, Florida. The man who landed a gyrocopter on the Capitol Lawn to protest money in politics? A Floridian.
Most recently? A black labrador who took his owner’s car for a spin in a cul-de-sac in Port St Lucie, Florida.
Max, the driving pupper (above), was left in the car when his owner stepped out for a minute after she made a wrong turn.
Per Sky News, the pup was on the move moments later, having put the car into reverse:
We have no idea why the soundtrack was necessary, either.
Max went round in circles for almost an hour, taking out a rubbish bin and a postbox while police tried to figure out how to get into the car.
I’ve watched three independent interviews with that lady who says the line about giving the dog a licence. She’s used variations of the same line in every single one. This was clearly her moment.
When Max was freed from the car, after police entered a code into a keypad on the driver’s side door, he was reportedly “healthy, happy and wagging his tail”.
He’s also the coolest dog in the neighbourhood now.
If you think your pet can compete, here’s your chance to prove it.
