If you’re married or in a serious relationship, and if you celebrate Christmas, things get a bit tricky over the holiday season.
You’re confronted with two sets of family, and both want to spend the holidays with you.
The stress is real.
The Royal Family never seemed to have this problem. If you’re royalty, you spend Christmas with the Queen at Sandringham. End of story.
Until now.
Meghan’s family is in America, and by family, I mean her mom. The rest of them seem to be a group of tabloid-loving halfwits, so they aren’t high on the list of people she’d want to spend time with.
While Buckingham Palace won’t comment on the private affairs of the family, Vanity Fair has heard rumours that Harry, Meghan, and Archie will be breaking with tradition this year and spending the holidays in the States.
“The plans have not been finalised,” a source told Vanity Fair. “They will be in America for Thanksgiving later this month and there’s a chance they might choose to stay out there a while longer which might mean missing Christmas.”
Express is taking it a step further, claiming that the Queen is very unhappy with the whole thing.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have left the Queen “hurt” after opting to snub spending Christmas at Sandringham with the Royal Family.
A source close to the family admitted they would likely spend the festive period either with Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland in the US or in Windsor.
The tabloid opted to refer to Meghan by her former name and not her title, Duchess of Sussex, so you know they’re upset.
It probably has something to do with the fact that it’s Archie’s first Christmas. The British public is weirdly possessive of the baby.
I’m sure most of us will agree that family drama is one of the oldest festive season traditions.
They really are just like us.
