Big business, and big money, will descend on Cape Town in February next year for the world’s largest mining investment event, the Investing in African Mining Indaba, known simply as the Mining Indaba.
Still going strong after more than 25 years, the Mining Indaba has a unique perspective of the African mining industry, bringing together visionaries and innovators from across the spectrum.
Naturally, these high-fliers are going to need somewhere to stay, preferably close to the CTICC (Cape Town International Convention Centre), which will play host to the Indaba.
Ideas Cartel, which offers luxury workspaces, exclusive events, private members clubs and lounges and a host of other benefits, also offers three stylish and central Cartel Hotels.
Those who are part of the Cartel Members Club enjoy access to their members’ lounges, gyms, bars, restaurants and rooftop pools, as well as a host of other perks, including preferential booking and discounted rates across the boutique hotels.
Ahead of the Mining Indaba, Ideas Cartel is also offering attendees 15% off those hotel rates. Just enter 2ovchh at checkout (that’s ‘o’ as in the letter at the start of ‘orange’), with the code valid for February bookings only.
There are three different room options available at 71 Waterkant Street – the Yellow Room, the Navy Room (below), and the Teal Room, all of which start from R2 200 a night:
More than just a room, stays includes complimentary breakfast at Hemelhuijs restaurant on the ground floor, as well as access to the Cartel Members Club lounges and bars, and Inner City coworking spaces across their three locations (71 Waterkant, 113 Loop Street and 1 Sand Hill Road).
At 113 Loop Street, there are four room types available – the Terrace Room, the Skyline Room, the Four-Poster Room, and the Cityscape Room, with prices starting from R4 000.
As you may have guessed, the Cityscape Room boasts quite the view:
Views from the Cityscape Room range all the way to Blouberg on clear days, and a stay here comes with access to the Cartel Members Club lounges and bars, and Inner City co-working spaces across those three locations mentioned earlier.
The third hotel, located at 1 Sand Hill Road, will be available to book from December 1, 2019.
If you come to the Mother City to do business, you really should be doing it in style.
Then again, for those lucky enough to call the city home, there’s no reason you shouldn’t enjoy the perks that come with the Cartel Members Club, either.
It really will change the way you work for the better.
