Finding a new series to watch, especially if there are a few seasons to get stuck into, is one of life’s small victories.
We have some suggestions to make, but you knew that already.
Once you’ve found a winner, you really have to hope that your partner enjoys the show, too, or else you’re left dancing on a delicate tightrope.
Headphones in, laptop / iPad / whichever device ready to go, and everyone can enjoy their own series.
The HBO Box, as it’s been dubbed, has really taken things to the next level. Although it’s obviously a pisstake, the company is actually giving some boxes away, with college roommates seemingly the target audience.
Full disclosure – I’m already bored of it, so here’s The Verge with a description:
It’s called the HBO Box, and as far as I can tell, it’s basically a big black cardboard box with air holes and a couple of cutouts to stick your legs through. The idea is that you lie back on your bed with the upper half of your body encased in the box, leaving you free to watch whatever you want on your phone without having to worry about your roommate being able to peer over your shoulder.
They’ll probably still be able to hear you, though, because, as I said, it’s a cardboard box.
Cool – video time:
Yeah, if I walk into a room and you’re watching something inside of a giant box whilst lying prone on the bed, I am going to draw certain conclusions.
Sadly for South African students, you’re not going to be able to win one of these boxes. I hear that empty boxes can be obtained around the back of any major supermarket, though, so all hope is not lost.
I don’t know why they make me write these things, but here we are.
