It’s a common myth that cats need friends.
My cat, Mozart, was an only child for 12 years because he wanted to be.
Every attempt to introduce a kitten into the mix was met with an assassination attempt, followed by a smug look as we returned the kitten to its original owner for its own protection.
The cat in the following video captured the feeling of murderous disgust that Mozart must have felt quite perfectly, and the internet clearly approves.
Here’s TIME:
The gray cat in question was seen absolutely steaming in a viral video, as his owner played with a new, younger, tinier (and, dare we say cuter?) blonde. “The look of utter betrayal,” Twitter user @MerielMyers wrote on Monday, using some amazing pun work.

If looks could kill, that kitten would be dead.
And that, friends, is why cats rule the internet.
