Makazole Mapimpi will forever be remembered as the first South African to score a try in a Rugby World Cup final, and what a try it was.

He was also amongst the first batch of Springboks to arrive back on home soil yesterday, and a huge, jubilant crowd greeted our heroes at OR Tambo International Airport.

After making their way through the throngs of supporters, the players faced the media’s questions.

Given that he’s just hopped off a flight home from Japan, and the Boks have been celebrating for two days solid, I think we can more than forgive him.
