Partying On Ibiza Could Soon Be A Thing Of The Past [Video]

A new documentary takes a look at Ibiza and the effect that the endless partying is having on the island.

Last year, things weren’t looking all that rosy for Ibiza.

It’s long been seen as one of the world’s party capitals, but that title was threatened by new regulations that wanted to see the music turned way down.

We’re talking quieter than your average vacuum cleaner. Not a vibe.

To add to the beginning of the end, one of Ibiza’s party legends, Tony Pike, the founder of the (in)famous hotel Pikes Ibiza, passed away.

Now, a documentary by the BBC is looking into whether years of endless partying have taken their toll on the island – to a point where it might be edging closer to its last season.

Superstar DJs and world-famous clubs normally make the headlines about Ibiza. But every season puts more pressure on the island’s sustainability.

How much longer can Ibiza cope this way?

Amber Haque travels to San Antonio’s West End, and finds out about diversity in House music and the destruction threatening Ibiza’s natural beauty.

Here’s the full doccie:

It was bound to come up at some point. The island can only take so much.
