Iron Man is dead.
Sorry if you haven’t seen Avengers: Endgame yet. Also, not sorry – you’ve had more than enough time to see it, and even if you didn’t, social media will have filled you in on the finer points of the film by now.
Anyway, Iron Man is dead, which means that Robert Downer Jr is free to move onto other projects.
The project that he chose is a little left-of-centre. Remember the story of Dr Dolittle? Downey Jr is the latest actor to put his own spin on the famous doctor who could talk to animals.
Here’s Mashable:
I’m not gonna lie: this is a weird, weird trailer.
Our first look at Dolittle, a blockbuster take on the doctor who can talk to the animals, is filled with CG creatures, sweeping shots, and a strangely epic cover of Louis Armstrong’s “What a Wonderful World” that is at one point set to the rhythmic patter of cannon fire. I told you it was weird.
We’ll be the judge of that:
That does look delightfully weird. I’m in.
Catch Dolittle in cinemas on January 17, 2020.
