One More Orbit’s attempt was covered on the most recent Carte Blanche episode, with South African pilot Jeremy Ascough playing a pivotal role in what must have been the adventure of a lifetime.

The world record attempt paid homage to Apollo 11 and the iconic mission that saw Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin set foot on the moon.

54 hours and seven minutes was the time to beat, and two prior world record attempts by other parties had already failed.
