Sky News’ Sophy Ridge was interviewing people in Uxbridge and South Ruislip, the constituency on the outskirts of west London which Johnson represents as an MP.
Everything was going to plan and, as is usually the case with random street interviews, Ridge received mixed views about the prime minister.
That is until she approached a lady who was clearly not a fan.
Whoever she is, she got in the last word on the British PM.
Over to The Guardian:
As soon as Ridge mentioned the fact this was Johnson’s constituency, the woman erupted, saying: “Don’t you ever mention that name in front of me, that filthy piece of toerag,” before walking off.
Yep, “filthy piece of toerag”. Check it out:
You tell him, lady. Good for you.
“This constituent in Uxbridge sees right through Boris Johnson,” said the Labour MP David Lammy in a tweet.
Nevertheless, Ridge did find other voters in the constituency supportive of Johnson, particularly Leave supporters who thought he was determined to deliver Brexit.
I’d like to hear what she has to say about them, too.
