It turns out Seth Rotherham isn’t 25 anymore. He’s married with two kids, lives in Constantia, and has a number of businesses that he wants to keep as a sideline, so he can live the holiday (as per the 2oceansvibe.com slogan).

And guess who’s helping him do that? Yup – that’s you. Maybe.

It’s pretty cool being Seth Rotherham’s PA, and that’s probably why the average tenure for this position is five years, with the last being a record six. That seven-year itch, right?

So these are the businesses that fall within the ‘group’, as he calls it.

2oceansvibe.com – 18-year-old blog turned official Google news partner site, with more than 700 000 unique readers a month. We’ve got an office in Cartel House on Loop Street – that’s where you’ll operate from. Maybe.

Malawi Cane (malawicane.com) – The world’s biggest online exporter of handmade Malawi Cane furniture. There’s a warehouse in Paarden Eiland and weekly trucks coming down from Malawi. Containers get sent off every week around the world.

Cabine du Cap (cabineducap.com) – As featured in Architectural Digest, Condé Nast, VISI, and ELLE Décor UK, Cabine du Cap is a luxury mountain cabin resort just outside Montagu, two-and-a-half hours from Cape Town.

You don’t really have to go there, but maybe he’ll let you stay there one day. Be sure to check out the next cabin they’re building on the same property.

Café du Cap (cafeducap.com) – Sam, Seth’s wife, runs the coolest lunch spot on Loop Street. Just check out the Instagram account.

Airbnb – there’s an apartment in town, down the road on Loop Street.

So imagine all of that stuff going on, along with Seth’s personal life, and then imagine the kind of person he needs to keep it all ticking along so he can keep his cool. Yup, that’s you. Maybe.

Executive PA

As an executive PA to Seth Rotherham, and all-round admin wizard for 2oceansvibe Media, your daily tasks will include the following:

• General PA tasks
• Getting stuck in at Malawi Cane and any other business that Seth decides to launch (you’re lucky you missed the ‘imported truffles from France’ phase)
• Office errands
• Proofreading stories for 2oceansvibe News
• Manage quotes, invoices, orders and payments for a variety of businesses (all on the same systems)
• Problem-solving and research

Requirements:

• Must have your own car and laptop
• Must have Microsoft Office skills
• WordPress skills are a bonus
• Xero skills an even bigger bonus
• Must be organised, detailed, resourceful, proactive, adaptable, patient and reliable

• 4PM finish Tuesday – Thursday and 3PM on Fridays
