What a weekend of World Cup rugby.
Japan now have the Irish to add to the list of giants slain (it’s nice to have company), the Ozzies have their own French ref to whine about (with pretty good reason), and we gave our neighbours to the north a decent hiding.
We should have put more on them, but for some reason, we insist on kicking away possession, even when 50 points up against one of rugby’s minnows.
Anyway, that’s a gripe for another day, because we’re going to talk about the Rugby World Cup’s heaviest player, Tonga’s Ben Tameifuna, who tips the scales at 151 kilograms.
He has some stiff competition (Business Insider has a list of the 10 heaviest players here), but he’s a good 16 kilograms heavier than second place’s Tomas Francis, so even if he sheds a few in the sapping Japanese heat he should be alright.
We’ll start with this brief look at some crunching hits:

I don’t know why every YouTube compilation video needs a really crummy soundtrack, but this one is no different. Don’t be afraid to turn the volume down:
For a more recent compilation, which also features Big Ben boxing, there’s this:
Quite a few ‘the bus is full’ moments there.
Look, Ben, I love your work, but talk to me when you’ve scored a try from halfway against the All Blacks:
