Volodymyr Zelensky, the Ukrainian comic turned president, is currently embroiled in a controversy that could lead to the impeachment of President Donald Trump.

That’s no laughing matter, and the contents of his telephone conversation with the US president will be under the spotlight, but he was in far finer spirits at the recent 16th Yalta European Strategy meeting, which took place from September 12-14.

During his presentation, Zelensky displayed a fake WhatsApp group chat titled WORLD LEADERS GROUP, and mocked how some of the world’s most prominent politicians might interact with one another.

Via Indy100, there was a special zinger reserved for Trump:

…the group plays out diplomacy and he manages to make light of a number of series issues including North Korea’s nuclear weapons, Brexit and Russia’s annexation of Crimea in 2014…

Zelensky didn’t pull his punches, and in a cheeky reminder of Donald Trump’s past issues with women, the USA writes the following faux pas in the group: “You are such a beautiful lady…” before deleting it.

There’s a 99% chance that message wasn’t directed at Melania.

I guess Zelensky should take his laughs where he can get them, because he could be in for a rough few months.
