Just over a year ago, Greta Thunberg started skipping school on a Friday to protest global warming.
She sparked a global movement and has gone on to put most people to shame, especially world leaders who haven’t done everything they can to halt climate change.
Thunberg recently addressed world leaders at the United Nations Climate Action Summit in New York.
Al Jazeera with more on Thunberg, before we watch her incredible speech:
The Swedish activist, who took on a two-week journey on a sailboat to attend the climate summit in New York, attracted worldwide attention last year when she skipped school to protest against inaction on climate change outside her country’s parliament. Since then Thunberg has met with the pope, and attended anti-coal protests in Germany as part of her call to motivate young people to take action to combat the climate crisis.
On to her speech:
She is impressive and her speech was incredibly well-received.
By almost everyone, anyway.
Cue Donald Trump:
Yeah, that’s not condescending at all.
Thunberg was spotted glaring at the American Idiot-in-Chief when she briefly crossed paths with him on Monday at the UN:
I think a lot of us can relate.

She went on to respond to his idiotic tweet by changing her Twitter bio:
It’s passive-aggressive and I love it. It’s probably a far too advanced response for Trump to understand.
Thunberg has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize for her activism.
According to CNN, Trump thinks he deserves one too.
Here he is at the UN:
“I think I’m going to get a Nobel Prize for a lot of things, if they gave it out fairly, which they don’t,” the President said on Monday at the United Nations.
Ugh, this guy.
