The rest of the world has watched on as America reacts to more deadly mass shootings with the usual rhetoric.

Thoughts, prayers, condolences, outrage, but, ultimately, yet more inaction where it really matters.

The shooter in Dayton, Ohio, who took nine lives over the weekend, spent a great deal of his life talking about murder and rape, yet there was nothing to stop him legally purchasing an assault-style rifle.

In fact, it’s often harder to purchase products like Sudafed, fireworks and health insurance than it is to snap up a lethal weapon.
