Ryan Reynolds likes Aviation Gin so much that he bought the brand back in 2018.
Now that’s what I call brand commitment.
Now that he’s at the helm, he’s decided to take his duties as owner and number one fan to new heights.
Back in June, he wrote an elaborate Amazon review for the booze, but we couldn’t let this one go by unnoticed.
Delish with more:
…the Deadpool actor shared the glowing commentary on Twitter, writing, “I loved this review of Aviation Gin someone sent me after I wrote it.” Oh, Ry.
Champ Nightengale (aka Reynold’s alias) gave the Batch Distilled Gin a five star rating and captioned his response “Love this product…BUT…”

I don’t think Linda minded very much.
A pretty decent marketing ploy, and makes a nice change from Ryan and his actual wife, Blake Lively, trolling each other on social media.
We’ll give him a hat tip on this one.
Our favourite local gin maker, Cape Town Gin, has consistently excellent sales, and always features among the top-selling liquors on Takealot, so it doesn’t really need a fake review.
I’m looking at my bottle of Cape Town Gin Pink Lady as I write this (it’s been a rough morning), and I’ll tell you for free that, with hints of rosewater and all-new levels of smoothness, it’s a damn fine gin.
Gorgeous – review over. If you haven’t tried it yet, you really should grab yourself a bottle, and if pink isn’t your thing, there’s the Classic or the Rooibos Red to choose from.
The award-winning gin goes down very well, with or without tonic. Add a few juniper berries or a slice of cucumber, and you’re golden.
I might not have the fake-review-writing skills of Deadpool, but I do know a good drink when I taste one.
