When visiting hours ended at a prison just outside of Rio de Janeiro, guards noticed a rather odd-looking young woman heading for the exit.
Authorities say the woman’s “air of nervousness” alerted them to the fact that something was amiss.
I reckon it was her thirsty wig – you’ll see why in a second.
According to the BBC, the “woman” was in fact convicted drug dealer Clauvino da Silva, wearing a creepy silicon mask, a wig, a bra, and a tight-fitting T-shirt.
When they say that everyone should do drag, if only for the experience of “de-dragging”, I don’t think they had this in mind.
Take a look:

Da Silva was sentenced to 73 years in prison. His escape plan was to have his 19-year-old daughter visit him. He would then dress like her and leave her behind in his place.
That’s some first-class parenting, right there.
His daughter and seven other people who had recently visited Silva are being questioned. Prison officials believe they smuggled the items Silva used to disguise himself in with them.
They suspect that one of them, a pregnant woman who was not searched by the guards, had hidden the wig and the glasses used by Silva on herself.
This isn’t the first time that da Silva has tried to escape (although, it is certainly his worst attempt).
In 2013, he was among a group of 31 prisoners who fled the Vicente Piragibe Penal Institute in Gericino through the jail’s sewer system. He was later apprehended.
Following his recent attempt at a prison break, he was treated to a photoshoot before returning to his cell.
Not his best work, but I guess we will give him some points for creativity.
