The Grand Est Mondial Air Ballons festival happened recently in France. This year, they tried to break the record for the most hot air balloons to be in flight at the same time in less than an hour, previously set by the same festival in 2017.
Unfortunately, with less than 500 balloons, they didn’t break the record, but everyone seemed to have a great time, regardless.

The balloon festival, which happens every two years in the Lorraine region, is one of the biggest of its kind in the world.
