Before we head into the details of how Donald Trump and Justin Bieber got involved in all of this, here’s what you need to know about rapper A$AP Rocky.
A$AP Rocky has been in jail since July 3, after a confrontation in Stockholm, Sweden, for which he faces serious accusations of assault.
By the look of things, though, he didn’t start the fight.
Vulture got hold of a video showing Rocky and members of his entourage arguing with the men involved in the altercation in Sweden.
A second clip shows the men, who are repeatedly asked to “go away”, attacking Rocky’s security guard with a pair of headphones.

According to CNN, the Stockholm District Court ruled Friday he should remain in custody for another week while prosecutors finish their investigation into the brawl.
Rocky is facing up to six years in prison.
A number of celebrities, including Kanye West, have come forward to show their support for Rocky.
Which brings us to Business Insider with how Trump’s attempt at support backfired on social media.
Trump tweeted this on Friday:
Name dropping and referring to politicians as “very talented”. Classic Trump.
Anyway, Bieber saw the irony in Trump’s tweet and responded with the following:
He makes a solid point.
Trump recently defended his “detention camps” by stating that they were clean and well-managed, despite repeated news reports on the squalid conditions of the facilities, and the routine separation of children from their families on the Mexican-US border.
Also, here’s a zinger. Sweden doesn’t use the bail system, so about this tweet:
Um, bail? Again, not a thing in Sweden.
Also, there’s this:
…while Lofven confirmed his “friendly and respectful” talk with Trump through his press secretary, he said that he stressed “the complete independence of the Swedish judicial system, prosecutors and courts” during that talk.
“He underlined that in Sweden everyone is equal before the law and that the government cannot and will not attempt to influence the legal proceedings,” read a statement from Lofven’s press secretary Toni Eriksson to the Associated Press. She also says that contrary to Trump’s tweet, a follow-up call has not yet been officially planned.
Way to lend a helping hand, pal.
