Ralph Fitch and William Leedes, who set sail on the Tyger in 1583 in search of new tastes in India and the East, were intrepid explorers.
Thanks to their efforts, and many who came after them, we can all enjoy a bespoke range of premium mixers, which take you back to an era when things were still made with the utmost care and craftsmanship.
Not everyone is such an intrepid adventurer and explorer, though. The winning video in the Fitch & Leedes and Bokeh Fashion Film treatment competition, shot by Adam Hansen, is a perfect illustration of that.
Adam wins a whopping R75 000 in prize money, on top of the R25 000 he was given as one of the three finalists.
The brief for the competition asked that entrants used clever product placement and a quirky sense of humour to tell the story of how Fitch & Leedes became the most inspirational mixer in the world.
Look, we’re impressed. Without giving too much away, we really like the sting in the tail:

OK, I haven’t slogged through the Cape mountains gathering water in the hopes of creating the perfect mixer, but you know what I mean.
