Look, I don’t watch Love Island, and I’m not judging you if you do.
(I am, a little, but that’s the kind of person I am.)
No doubt, plenty of you reading this have never watched an episode, so we can sum it up like this…
Imagine The Bachelor SA, but there is an equal amount of single men and women living in the same house, and each of them has the emotional intelligence and depth of Lee Thompson.
Glad I could clear that up.
Sorry, before we get into the Love Island debacle, we must also watch this recent gem from The Bachelor Australia.
They picked astrophysicist Matt Agnew as the bachelor (take note, M-Net), although that can’t prevent moments like this:

hyuck: im a Gemini

Marvellous.
OK, let’s get down to business. To set the scene for your 20-second trainwreck, I am going to rewind to last year’s show, when the cast discussed Brexit.
Right, that should serve as proof that what you’re about to see isn’t an isolated incident.
During Saturday’s episode, Belle Hassan (21), Joanna Chimonides (22), and Jourdan Riane (24) were chatting about capital cities in Europe.
Remember that they live in the UK, they are all in their 20s, and this is one of the highest rated shows on TV right now:

Wow. Just when you think they’re out of the woods, Jourdan drops the ‘Barcelona is in Italy’ bombshell.
Now we won’t say this often, because the man is an arsewipe, but I’m going to have to agree with Piers bloody Morgan:
Don’t worry, he was soon back to brown-nosing Donald Trump.
I guess the sad thing about a show like Love Island is that many of the contestants go on to become social media ‘influencers’, flogging makeup and diet pills and offering life advice, and folks gobble it up.
The cycle continues.
