You’ve earned a little break from the slog and grind.
Treat yourself.
If you’re not able to commandeer the office TV, or someone already has it set to the Cricket World Cup (we’re knocked out, but the show must go on), you may need to find a crafty way to watch Wimbledon from your desk.
After all, you don’t want to miss moments like 15-year-old Coco Gauff beating Venus Williams.
The first, and most obvious tip, is for existing DStv users to sort out DStv Now. It’s not hard – you create an account, and you can watch your DStv online, anywhere, anytime at no additional cost.
Two people can stream at the same time, as well, so no need to fight over who watches what.
For those who aren’t DStv users, and are keen on that free option, here’s some great news from TIME:
This year, Wimbledon has announced a new streaming service: The Wimbledon Channel. This livestream can be accessed through Wimbledon’s official website and offers live coverage of select matches. For the first time ever, this streaming service will enable viewers to see footage from all 18 courts at the same time…
There is also the option to listen to the event live via The Wimbledon Channel radio.
A live Twitter feed from The Wimbledon Channel will also be running underneath the streaming window so that you can see live results from other matches.
Not too shabby.
Here’s the link to the Wimbledon official website, and here’s the direct link to the Wimbledon channel livestream.
The livestream switches between matches, rather than focusing on any individual match.
If you are paranoid about somebody spotting your tennis watching (co-workers, remember that snitches get stitches), you can also listen to a number of radio streams.
Enjoy the tennis and remember to root for anyone but Nick Kyrgios.
