Nobody in the Trump family will ever be accused of lacking confidence, although Ivanka Trump’s is clearly misplaced.
Whilst they have all had their blunders, Canada’s Justin Trudeau, France’s Emmanuel Macron, and the U.K.’s Theresa May have been around the political block.
Add Christine Lagarde, managing director of the International Monetary Fund, into the mix, and you have four people who are pretty qualified to talk about a number of social issues.
Shall we throw a fifth, less qualified but highly vocal person into the mix? Come on in, Ivanka:
Watch that again and pay particular attention to Lagarde, on the left of screen. Watch her face as Ivanka wades in, and she can hardly even bring herself to look in Ivanka’s direction.
It reminds me of when you make the transition from the kids’ table to the adults’ table at big family get-togethers, although most of us had the common sense to let the adults talk without butting in.
Ivanka’s father might have felt at home amongst the G20 leaders (and especially at home with murderous dictator Kim Jong Un), but maybe she should sit the next round out.
