There comes a time when you’re just not satisfied with the ‘medium’ option any longer.
You’re feeling a little bold, so you select ‘spicy’ for your curry, and the next day you’re paying for it.
Don’t worry, we’ve all been there, and now Trevor Noah knows the suffering that comes with eating food well beyond your pain threshold.
During a recent appearance on ‘Hot Ones’, where celebs are put through the spice test, our late-night TV host didn’t shape up all that well.
Last week he was talking about how his childhood dream was being able to buy mains and dessert, and now he’s riding a “pain rollercoaster”.
How quickly things change.
This from the First We Feast YouTube channel:
Trevor Noah is a world-renowned standup comedian and the host of the Emmy-award winning The Daily Show on Comedy Central. He’s also written a book, Born a Crime, which is a New York Times best seller. But how is he with spicy food? Find out as the South African comic boldly faces off against the wings of death. Along the journey, he discusses the advice he got from Jon Stewart, breaks down the joys of biltong, and explains the one thing that connects us all as humans.
The whole segment is pretty fun (it’s currently trending at number two on YouTube), but you can see the wheels really come off around the 14:20 mark:
How about when that guy tried to talk about the finer things in life, and Trevor stuck to his polony / brown bread / margarine fiesta?
Stay classy.
