Last week, the curtain came down on the case of the Krugersdorp Killers.
It’s a story that both enthralled and disgusted the country, but the verdict handed down in the South Gauteng High Court ensures that at least three of the guilty parties will spend significant time behind bars.
Carte Blanche has covered the trial throughout (this piece from last May was very widely shared), and they did so once again on Sunday’s show.
The segment was titled Judgement Day: Krugersdorp Killers Convicted:
Guilty as charged – in what the judge called a religious scam, manipulation and deadly deceit convinced a Krugersdorp mother and her teenaged children they were killing for God. In a Carte Blanche exclusive we meet the investigating officer who cracked the case of the notorious Krugersdorp Killers.
Together with the seasoned detective we revisit the crime scenes, examine the forensics and find out how he secured the six convictions that were handed down by Judge Francis in the Gauteng High Court this week.
In a television first, we also bring you never-before-seen footage of the arrests, and finally speak to victims’ families who have waited more than three years for justice.
Strap yourselves in, folks.
Even Derek Watts was taken aback:
Off we go:
These evil, murderous cretins may be behind bars, but nothing will bring back the victims to their loved ones.
