Stallone Is Back For Another ‘Rambo’ Movie [Trailer]

Rambo is back, sans headband, but with enough blood loss and terrible dialogue to stay true to the franchise.

If you weren’t born in the 80s, or perhaps before that, you probably won’t get how weird it is to stumble across a new Rambo movie starring Sylvester Stallone.

I thought he retired.

Nope, he’s back – this time without the headband which is kind of iconic so that’s sad.

Despite the lack of headband, you’ll still get the bad one-liners, shooting, bow-and-arrowing, knifing, and blowing things up that you’ve come to expect from the franchise.

Here’s Polygon:

The original Rambo movie, First Blood, hit theaters in 1982 and confronted post-war PTSD, The series evolved into a Gen X action franchise people know today.

…Rambo: Last Blood is the fifth Rambo film, in which Stallone’s iconic character travels to Mexico to save a friend’s daughter from a drug cartel. The film has gestated since 2008 and gone through many iterations and names. (At one point, Rambo was going to fight a wolfman super soldier!) The final plot hews a little closer to the John Rambo stories people know: full of vengeance, murky politics, and plenty of bloodshed to get the job done. Can’t nobody tell me nothin’ …

Take it in, because this will probably be the last film in the series:

We say probably, but you never know.

You can catch Rambo: Last Blood in cinemas September 20, 2019.
