Meat Loaf’s birth name was Marvin Lee Aday – pass it on.
He’s long since left that name behind, forged a successful musical career, and boasts a net worth estimated to be around $45 million, but that doesn’t mean it’s all plain sailing.
Over the weekend, the 71-year-old was leading a Q&A session at the Texas Frightmare Weekend (a horror movie convention), when he tripped over some wires onstage.
According to Consequence of Sound, he didn’t come out of the fall very well, and it’s widely reported that he broke his collarbone.

As everyone knows, Meat Loaf fell today. We wanted to keep you updated as soon as we knew something. We just found out that the hospital is keeping him overnight for observation. He will not be able to return on Sunday, but he has already confirmed that he will be back in 2020! He’s a trooper and we are praying a speedy recovery!
