Jislaaik hey, how’s the traffic in Cape Town these days?
I’m over it, and I’m over that conversation – it sucks, it starts from 2PM on a Friday because nobody works after midday, and it’s part of the price we pay for living in the world’s most beautiful city.
Yeah, I said it.
Anyway, none of that is Tiger Woods’ problem as he readies himself to do battle at the PGA Championship at Bethpage Black.
He’s not currently aboard his $20 million yacht, dubbed ‘Privacy’, but it has anchored off the coast of Long Island, New York, in preparation for the tournament, which starts on May 16.
Last time Tiger was quizzed about why he chooses to stay on his yacht, rather than on dry land, he quipped that it “provides the perfect respite from the “tournament scene” and reduces traffic chaos en route to the competition”.
He also called it “my dinghy”. Boet, this is a dinghy…
And this is a yacht…
Let’s have a little look around with a video feature, put together last year when he anchored in the Hamptons during the US Open:
Dang – tough life.
Hot off the heels off his incredible Masters win, it’s going to be a busy few weeks for Tiger. Below from Golf:
While we might not see Woods on Long Island in the next few days, there’s a chance he appears publicly in Washington D.C. According to Fox News anchor Ed Henry, Woods is expected to be at the White House on Monday for a ceremony with President Donald Trump. President Trump tweeted on April 15, the day after Woods’s fifth Masters victory, that he was going to give him the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
Insert joke about that meeting and the TV show Orange is the New Black.
