Millie Bobbie Brown, or 11 from Stranger Things as she’s more commonly known, stars in the upcoming Godzilla: King of the Monsters.
When the first official teaser trailer was released, it looked like the kind of blockbuster that would fill seats and hike ticket sales.
Now I’m not so sure.
The film is the follow-up to Godzilla (2014) and comes from the director who is also responsible for Trick ‘r Treat and Krampus – Michael Dougherty.
Here’s Collider:
This time the King of the Monsters is joined by some of his fellow iconic Kaiju including the hangar jet sized insectoid Mothra, the three-headed beast King Ghidorah, and the titanic Pteranodon Rodan.
The followup will see the return of Monarch, the mysterious “crypto-zoological agency” introduced in Godzilla and the shared-universe prequel Kong: Skull Island (which teased the arrival of Mothra & co. in a post-credits scenes), who face off against the ancient super-species once again in their mission to protect human existence.
Sure. See for yourself:
“Somewhere over the rainbow” was an interesting choice.
I’ll probably watch this just for the awfulness-factor.
Then again, who knows – maybe it’s a cult classic in the making.
We’ll find out when Godzilla: King of the Monsters hits cinemas on May 13.
