It’s been quite a week in Washington, although hardly a week goes by without some or other bombshell being dropped.
Last week’s release of the Mueller Report, heavily redacted though it was, has dominated the news, with pundits and experts unpacking what was inside the 448-page investigation into collusion and obstruction by Donald Trump.
No, it doesn’t offer “total and complete exoneration”, but you knew that already because you are exposed to news outlets other than Fox News.
On his Sunday show, Last Week Tonight, John Oliver decided to offer his own take on the matter. Before we dive in, here’s some insight via the Guardian:
Oliver focused his monologue on “two key factors that may have saved the president here: incompetence when it comes to conspiracy with Russia, and disobedience when it comes to obstruction of justice”…
Mueller’s investigation did not find collusion nor evidence of a Trump conspiracy to interfere in the election, Oliver said, but it was not short on shocking revelations or confirmations.
Go on, then – waste a solid 15 minutes of your workday. It’s been a long few hours of replying to emails and you’ve earned it:
