The internet has a habit of finding Jesus’ likeness appearing in anything from breakfast tacos to pancakes.
Some might seem a bit far-fetched (that pretzel, anyone?) and you could possibly include this Notre Dame fire Jesus sighting in that (far-fetched) category.
But it’s hard to ignore the timing of this one – so close to Easter and all.
Just to recap – Easter isn’t just a public holiday. Nope. According to Wikipedia:
Easter, also called Pascha or Resurrection Sunday, is a festival and holiday commemorating the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, described in the New Testament as having occurred on the third day after his burial following his crucifixion by the Romans at Calvary c. 30 AD. It is the culmination of the Passion of Jesus, preceded by Lent (or Great Lent), a 40-day period of fasting, prayer, and penance.
Yeah – it’s quite a big deal. So it is then with some degree of interest that people have noticed an image in the Notre-Dame cathedral flames (you know about the fire, right?) that looks like it might actually be Jesus.
Check it out:
See it? He’s standing there with his arm outstretched – cruising through the flames, like a chilled stunt performer.
