The Battle at Kruger remains one of the most famous wildlife videos of all time, with more than 80 million views on YouTube.
I don’t know if the showdown below will ever reach those heights, but it is a rollercoaster ride of pretty epic proportions.
Filmed at Transporter Dam, where the original Battle at Kruger was filmed back in 2004, this one again features a buffalo battling for its life.
Thuli Khumalo, head of Atamela Tours, captured the video, which was then uploaded on Kruger Sightings.
This below from Good Things Guy:
After lunch at Skukuza Rest Camp, Atamela’s game drive full of tourists arrived at the world-famous Transport Dam, in the hopes of seeing some action. Little did they know what they were actually in for. They spotted a pride of lions lying in the shade, overlooking the water…
Surely enough, a large herd of impala went down to the water, and the lions gave chase! The impalas were too fast for the lions, but at the edge of the water, they spotted an old buffalo bull.
The lions chased that buffalo, and it ran into the water where out of nowhere, a crocodile starts taking a go at the already targeted buffalo…
That’s about all you need to get this one started:
Those buffalo clearly live by the motto, ‘teamwork makes the dream work’.
I still think the Battle at Kruger remains unrivalled, but these animals sure put on one hell of a show.
