I get the impression that everyone who hangs out with Snoop Dogg gets high, and everyone who gets high with Snoop Dogg likes the guy.
The pair recently filmed The Beach Bum together, which revolves around a rebellious stoner named Moondog.
Sounds like the name of one of Gwyneth Paltrow’s children.
McConaughey plays the bum, naturally, and Snoop was right there with him. During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live last week, they opened up about working together, and how Snoop managed to get McConaughey really high on set.
Settle in and enjoy, although you can skip ahead to the 6:45 mark for the ‘joint switcheroo’ story:
I will probably still watch the movie, but the folks at the Washington Post don’t seem too impressed with The Beach Bum, or McConaughey’s latest career moves:
While some critics embrace the film’s chaos, others find fault with its lack of a cohesive narrative. McConaughey is a reliable performer who brings life to both “Serenity” and “The Beach Bum”…but his latest films seem to have lost the ability to please critics, as they did in the McConaissance era, or attract audiences, as they did in his rom-com days.
Maybe everything’s not all right, all right, all right, but at least he has Snoop to smoke with.
