Nearly A Million People Have Listened To Elon Musk’s Hip Hop Track [Audio]

Elon Musk has combined an ancient meme, a Twitter joke, and plenty of Auto-Tune to bring you his first hip hop track.

We’re sorry to inform you that Elon Musk has dropped his first hip hop track.

The Tesla CEO, who has no time to do anything, found the time to combine a meme, a Twitter joke and Auto-Tune this weekend to bring you ‘RIP Harambe’, which he uploaded to Soundcloud.

In case you missed the drama a few years back, Harambe is the gorilla who was killed in the Cincinnati Zoo after dragging a three-year-old boy who climbed into his enclosure.

The zoo was then relentlessly trolled for months afterwards.

Now Elon is bringing Harambe back, reports Rolling Stone.

Listen and weep:

The two-minute mumble-rap track guaranteed to make your ears bleed has been streamed a cool 750 000 times, and will soon top a million at the current rate:

“This might be my finest work,” the SpaceX boss said of the track, which he posted on his fictitious Emo G Records’ SoundCloud page between tweets about the Tesla Semi; Emo G is a play on emoji, a callback to a Musk joke from earlier in the weekend. “I’m disappointed that my record label failed,” he added.

If you missed the lyrics, here they are:

“RIP Harambe/Sipping on some Bombay/We on our way to heaven/Amen, Amen,” an autotuned voice sings. “RIP Harambe/Smoking on some strong/In the gorilla zoo/And we thinking about you.”

Yeah, he was definitely smoking something.

It wouldn’t be the first time.
