If the legalisation of marijuana in South Africa has taught us one thing, it’s that the oldies are also rather fond of the odd toke.
Just look at who’s buying all the home DIY marijuana-growing kit from Starke Ayres. Sure, it helps with the aches and pains, but what’s not to like about the buzz, either?
With the elections looming, every lamp post in the province seems to have a few posters stuck to it. Last week, we saw two examples of the DA’s Premier candidate for the Western Cape, Alan Winde, on the receiving end of some black marker pen graffiti.
It was rather artsy, actually.
Now we know that Cyril is keen to win over urban voters, who seem to be turning against the party, but the poster placement on this lamp post, sent in by an eagle-eyed reader, is pretty funny.
Later this week, the Cannabis Expo kicks off at Grandwest. According to the website, it promises to provide “the perfect platform for international and local medical health professionals, agricultural providers and lifestyle brands to engage with industry experts and the public around this versatile plant”.
There will be plenty of talk about growing cannabis, and Cyril seems to be on board.
“Let’s grow South Africa together”, you say?
No wonder he’s grinning from ear to ear.
Let’s grow, South Africa.
Together.
Don’t worry, this is about as close as we will come to an April Fools’ Day prank story.
Thanks, Rob
