There’s no doubting that, as things stand, the findings of Robert Mueller’s Special Counsel are a home run for Donald Trump.
I say as things stand, because nobody other than US Attorney General William Barr, who was appointed by Trump himself, has actually seen the full report.
Barr has repeatedly stated that Hillary Clinton should be investigated further, Trump was right to fire James Comey, and alluded to the fact that he wouldn’t turn over the full Mueller report to the public.
In other words, he’s Trump’s guy, and many Democrats are unwilling to accept his four-page summary as indicative of what the report actually says.
Of course, that’s irrelevant to Trump, and last night, for the first time, he appeared in front of an adoring crowd at a rally in Michigan to talk (falsely) about a complete and total exoneration.
Here’s NPR with details from that rally:
“After three years of lies and smears and slander, the Russia hoax is finally dead,” Trump said, to loud cheers. “The collusion delusion is over.”
In touting Mueller’s findings, Trump also continued spreading an untruth he has been repeating since the investigation ended.
“The special counsel completed its report and found no collusion and no obstruction,” he said.
An untruth is a nice way of saying he lied, because the Mueller report “did not come to a conclusion on obstruction of justice, meaning the president was not exonerated on that matter”.
He also came up with some new nicknames:
“These are sick people. And there has to be accountability, because it is all lies, and they know it is lies,” Trump said, specifically calling out House Judiciary Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., and House intelligence committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., (whom Trump called “little pencil-neck Adam Schiff”).
“Democrats will now have to decide whether they will continue defrauding the public with ridiculous bullshit, partisan investigations,” Trump also told the Michigan crowd, “Or whether they will apologize to the American people.”
I actually think pencil-neck Schiff is a goodie. It’s better than that time Donald says he calls Nancy Pelosi…Nancy.
Over to Donald for the complete and total exoneration lie:
You wanna see thousands of red-hat wearers go mad at the word bullshit? Skip to the 45-second mark:
Here’s Donnie thin-neck-shaming Schiff:
Should we see some people boo at the idea of clean energy? Off we go:
That’s not how the Green New Deal works, but you do you.
Expect plenty more of these victory lap rallies (although this one will always stand out), while the Democrats fight to get their hands on that full report.
I suppose we should give pencil-necked Adam Schiff a chance to have his say:
I say this to the President, and his defenders in Congress:
You may think it’s okay how Trump and his associates interacted with Russians during the campaign.
I don’t.
I think it’s immoral. I think it’s unethical. I think it’s unpatriotic. And yes, I think it’s corrupt. pic.twitter.com/nTdgRVfssQ

Yup, a tiny neck.
I would think, that after two years, the American people deserve to see the full report. The battle will now be fought in the House and Congress, so expect more name-calling.
For now, Donald and his supporters will bask in the glory of the no collusion Mueller finding. Good for them, but those pages don’t change the fact that Trump is a narcissistic, awful man.
