Hlaudi Motsoeneng’s Manifesto Video Is Rather Terrifying

There's nothing Hlaudi Motsoeneng loves more than the spotlight, and he sure is excited about launching his political party's manifesto.

There was a time when Hlaudi Motsoeneng was everywhere, but then the SABC booted him and we saw less of the man who insists on referring to himself in the third person.

Too little, too late for the SABC, which is on the brink of collapse and seeking another government bailout of almost R7 billion.

Your man Hlaudi isn’t happy with just sinking the national broadcaster, though, and has now set his sights on sinking the entire country.

In December, he launched his new party, the African Content Movement (ACM, with a characteristically batshit crazy press conference.

Real quote – “we have brain”.

Now he’s back with a campaign video outlining the ACM’s manifesto, which will be released in full on April 6.

Calling himself ‘the 90% man’, after his local content decision that helped take down the SABC, it’s bonkers right off the bat, but he really ups the ante around the 1:30 mark.

Imagine if this guy ever got his foot in the door politically? He makes Julius Malema appear composed and rational.

That “happiness” wobble around the two-minute mark seems like he was temporarily possessed.

You know what’s just as terrifying? This:

Thankfully, some of the other comments do point to the fact that Hlaudi is clearly delusional, and I don’t think he’s going to make much of a dent when it comes to garnering votes.

Oh, by the way, Gavin Watson Bosasa also helped settle Hlaudi’s legal bills during his battle to avoid being ousted from the SABC, which amounted to just under R1,2 million, so you can add that association to his political CV.
