Michael Jackson isn’t around to defend himself, but the hits just keep on coming.
Not that I have much sympathy, because Leaving Neverland is brutal in its honesty – watch the two-part series if you want a good jolt to the system.
Yesterday, we covered one of the more popular arguments against Jackson’s accusers, and the doccie series as a whole.
Seeing as though the story isn’t going away any time soon, we thought we’d take today to look at a recent interview with Adrian McManus, who worked as Jackson’s former domestic worker (or ‘maid’ as the Yanks say, or ‘cleaner’, if you prefer) for four years.
60 Minutes have covered the story, but before we get to that, let’s get a once-over from Newsweek:
She detailed some of her findings, including multiple times she saw Jackson with little boys in his bedroom, where he kept a jacuzzi. “Michael would have his underwear floating in the water and the little boys’ underwear floating in the water together,” she said. “If they weren’t floating in the water, they were outside on the floor around the Jacuzzi. So I would find stuff like that.”
She claimed the relationships Jackson had with said children rubbed her the wrong way. “With all the little boys he would hold their hands and kiss them. And they would fight for Michael’s love. It was a strange environment to watch.”
…In her recent interview, McManus noted other illegal activities Jackson allegedly participated in. Not only did he have sexual contact with young boys, she said she believed he filmed it. McManus did not have proof of the films, but knew of hidden VHS tapes in his movie projection room.
Critics will quickly dismiss McManus’ story, because she has testified under oath in Jackson’s defence twice, although she says she was threatened and intimidated into doing so.
Over to Adrian to recount her Neverland story:
I wonder what Michael would say about this if he was still alive?
He couldn’t do much worse than R. Kelly.
